Lisa Aldous
About me
My name is Lisa Aldous, and I have worked in public services for over 25 years. It has been a privilege to support hundreds of families during this time. What I’ve enjoyed most is witnessing families grow and seeing parents and carers develop confidence in their parenting. I began my career in 1999 as an outreach worker in a community drug service. Since then, I’ve explored a range of roles, including youth work, targeted support work, and working as a Families Matter practitioner. I’ve worked across Sutton, Surrey, and West Sussex, and these diverse experiences have shaped my practice. My approach to therapeutic support is client-led and collaborative. As a parent myself, I understand the challenges parenting can bring. But together, we can continue learning, adapt to change, and build stronger skills to support our families.

“Fire can warm or consume,
water can quench or drown,
wind can caress or cut.
And so it is with human relationships;
we can both create and destroy,
nurture and terrorise,
traumatise and heal each other”
― Bruce Perry
